Training
One of the
most important steps in getting a new franchise off to a good start
is training. Training at Snap-on is unique because we see it as
a process, not a one-time event. You will be assigned to a Field
Group of approximately 10-12 Franchisees. During the initial training
we will cover the Snap-on business at our central training school,
including:
- Product
Knowledge
- Policies
and Procedures
- Sales Training
- Franchisee Computer
Sales System
- Credit Programmes
- Record Keeping
- Van Display
And it doesn't
stop there! Over the following weeks, your Field Manager will accompany
you on your route to help train you in the day-to-day aspects of
the business.
From there,
the training never really stops at Snap-on. You will continue to
be assigned to your Field Group and will attend regular meetings
to hear about new products, sales aids, promotions and sales programmes.
Working with your Field Manager is like having your own personal
trainer!

Credit and
Financing
Extending credit
to your customers is an important element in becoming a successful
Snap-on franchisee. Snap-on will teach you how to set up and manage
your 'Revolving Account' credit programmes, which you will want
to establish for most of your customers' routine purchases. However,
for more expensive products, Snap-on Credit makes it easy to extend
credit because they will 'buy' the credit account from you. This
lets your money continue to work for you.

Snap-on/Sun
Tech Systems
To assist with
the sale of sophisticated diagnostic equipment, Snap-on established
the Snap-on/Sun Tech Systems Programme. The team of specially trained
Tech Systems Consultants can demonstrate and sell the features and
benefits of this equipment to your customers.
