Get Started Using SureTrack®
SureTrack information may be accessed in two ways:
● | On select diagnostic tools, via the Scanner function (displays specific vehicle information) |
● | Using a web browser, via the SureTrack Community website |

SureTrack activation is linked to your diagnostic tool software version, and is only available when you have the latest diagnostic software version installed on your diagnostic tool.
To use SureTrack (on the tool or the SureTrack Community website), you must:
● | Have the current diagnostic software version installed on your diagnostic tool |
● | Have your diagnostic tool linked to your Snap-on Profile Manager account, see New User - Create an Individual Account |
● | Enter and save your current SureTrack Authorization Code in your Snap-on Profile Manager Account, see Finding your SureTrack Authorization Code |
SureTrack Authorization Codes are provided at every software version update (e.g. every 6 months), and must entered each time in your Snap-on Profile Manager account to keep SureTrack active.

In addition to the SureTrack features on your diagnostic tool (select tools only), your SureTrack access also includes SureTrack Community membership.
As a SureTrack Community member you will have access to the SureTrack Community website (via web browser).
SureTrack Community includes these vehicle repair information features:
● | 1Search™ Limited - SureTrack Real Fixes, Related Tips, Common Replaced Parts, and ProView Information |
● | SureTrack Community - A library and forum filled with expert information from fellow professional technicians in the SureTrack community |
● | Safety Recalls and OEM Campaigns |
You must have an Internet connection to use SureTrack Community. For additional information on diagnostic tool Wi-Fi setup, refer to your diagnostic tool user manual.
To use the SureTrack Community, you must:
● | Have the current diagnostic software version installed on your diagnostic tool |
● | Have a Snap-on Profile Manager account, see New User - Create an Individual Account |
● | Enter and save your current SureTrack Authorization Code in your Snap-on Profile Manager Account, see Finding your SureTrack Authorization Code |
Using SureTrack

Once you have your Snap-on Profile Manager account setup with your current SureTrack authorization code, you can access SureTrack information in the following ways:

SureTrack on the Diagnostic Tool
Basic Steps:
1. | Select Scanner from the home screen. |
2. | Identify the vehicle. |
3. | Select a system (e.g. Engine). |
4. | Select "View Codes" or similar to view diagnostic trouble codes. |
5. | If SureTrack information is available, it will be displayed on the applicable screens. |
You must have an Internet connection to use SureTrack. For additional information on Wi-Fi setup, refer to your diagnostic tool user manual.
SureTrack is active, as long as you maintain current software in your diagnostic tool.
