Step 1: Setting Up Technician Profile

For the best experience, follow tutorial on desktop.
NOTE: If you have an existing Altus Drive account, you already have a profile. Make sure you are signed in under Technician Profile, not Shop Profile. See FAQ for more information.

  1. Go to AltusDrive.com and select 'Create Individual Account'.
  2. Select 'Get Started'.
  3. Fill out your account information, then click ‘Create Account’.
  4. Check your inbox to verify your email. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder.
    NOTE: If verification email is not sent upon sign up, proceed to login.
  5. After logging in, fill in any missing account information, including country and technician phone number (Figure 1).
  6. Set a Profile Access Code. Click 'Save'.
    NOTE: A 4-digit Profile Access Code is used on some newer vehicle models before gaining certain functions and features.

ZEUS Series, VERUS Series
  1. On your diagnostic scan tool, click the Gear Icon (Figure 2).
  2. Select 'Get Connected'.
  3. Enter Technician Profile username and password.
  4. Click 'Add Device'.

All Other Platforms
  1. On your diagnostic scan tool, click the Gear Icon.
  2. Select 'Get Connected' and gather scan tool Serial Number, PIN, and Code (Figure 3).
  3. On desktop, in Technician Profile Manager, select ‘Device Management’ on the left-side menu.
    IMPORTANT: Make sure you are signed in under Technician Profile, not Shop Profile.
  4. Click 'Add Device' (Figure 4).
  5. Enter your tool’s serial number, pin, and code from the ‘Get Connected’ screen in ALL CAPS with no dashes or spaces.
  6. Click 'Save'.

Step 3: Adding OEMs to AutoAuth Account

NOTE: Required for OEMs FCA (North America), Nissan, and Mercedes-Benz (USA) ONLY.
AutoAuth is a third-party application. Fees and pricing are set and managed by AutoAuth, not Snap-on. Refer to AutoAuth FAQ for further AutoAuth help.

New AutoAuth Users
  1. Click the AutoAuth Link or go to AutoAuth.com on a new tab.
  2. Register and Fill out your account information.
  3. Accept the Terms & Conditions, click ‘Signup’.
  4. Confirm email, then Login.
  5. Choose ‘For Service Center & Independent Technicians’ or ‘For Technicians,’ depending on your shop’s preference.  
    1. If you select ‘For Service Center & Independent Technicians’, Select the plan that best fits your shop’s needs.
    2. If you select ‘For Technicians’, see FAQ for adding technicians to a Service Center.
  6. Fill out personal and shop information as prompted.
  7. Once you’ve selected a region, check boxes for the AutoAuth OEMs you wish the subscribe to (Figure 5).
  8. Follow the remaining prompts to complete sign up.

Existing AutoAuth Users
  1. Go to AutoAuth.com on a new tab.
  2. In the top right corner, click the icon with two wrenches.
  3. Select ‘Subscriptions’.
  4. Under ‘Active Manufacturers’, verify that the needed AutoAuth OEMs are subscribed (Figure 6).

Step 4: Adding Diagnostic Scan Tool to AutoAuth

NOTE: Required for OEMs FCA (North America), Nissan, and Mercedes-Benz (USA) ONLY.
AutoAuth is a third-party application. Fees and pricing are set and managed by AutoAuth, not Snap-on. Refer to AutoAuth FAQ for further AutoAuth help.  

  1. On the left side, select ‘Tools’ (Figure 7), then 'Add Tool'.
  2. Enter the following:  
    1. Device Name: Not applicable for the 'AutoAuth Standard' plan 
    2. Manufacturer: Snap-on 
    3. Model: All Other Models 
    4. Scan tool serial number: Located on the back of all scan tools

      NOTE: Enter serial number in ALL CAPS with no dashes or spaces.  AutoAuth will not verify correct scan tool serial number. Check serial number to ensure proper connection.
  3. Click 'Add Tool'.
    NOTE: If successful, device will display under the ‘Tools’ tab.

Step 5: Linking OEMs to Technician Profile

FCA (North America)

Vehicle Makes Included: Dodge, Jeep, Chrysler, Ram, Fiat, Alfa Romeo

  1. Go to AltusDrive.com and select 'Manage Existing Account' to login.
  2. Once logged into Technician Profile Manager, navigate to the Security Link tab on the left.
  3. Click the blue '+' next to 'FCA North America'.
  4. Add required information, if prompted  
    1. Account Information
    2. Shop Information
      IMPORTANT: This information will appear in your Vehicle System Reports.
  5. Enter AutoAuth username (NOT email) and password
    NOTE: To find username, click initials in the top right corner of AutoAuth.com.
  6. Check the required boxes and save.
  7. Restart all diagnostic scan tools connected to this account to sync.
Nissan Group

Vehicle Makes Included: Nissan, Infiniti

  1. Go to AltusDrive.com and select 'Manage Existing Account' to login.
  2. Once logged into Technician Profile Manager, navigate to the Security Link tab on the left.
  3. Click the blue '+' next to 'Nissan Group'.
  4. Add required information, if prompted
    1. Account Information
    2. Shop Information
      IMPORTANT: This information will appear in your Vehicle System Reports.
  5. Enter AutoAuth username (NOT email) and password.
    NOTE: To find username, click initials in the top right corner of AutoAuth.com.
  6. Check the required boxes and save.
  7. Restart all diagnostic scan tools connected to this account to sync.
Volkswagen Audi Group (VAG)

Vehicle Makes Included: Volkswagen, Audi

  1. Go to AltusDrive.com and select 'Manage Existing Account' to login.
  2. Once logged into Technician Profile Manager, navigate to the Security Link tab on the left.
  3. Click the blue '+' next to 'Volkswagen Group'.
  4. Add required information, if prompted
    1. Account Information
    2. Shop Information
      IMPORTANT: This information will appear in your Vehicle System Reports.
  5. Click ‘Save and Next’.
  6. Read the privacy policy and terms of use, check the required boxes, and click 'Save'.
  7. If prompted, check your inbox to verify your email. If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder. Select 'Done'.
  8. Restart all diagnostic scan tools connected to this account to sync.
Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Volvo

Ford, Hyundai, Kia, and Volvo are included for free through Snap-on® Security Link™. Ensure the requirements below are met in order for Security Link to work.

Requirements:
  • Wi-Fi Access
  • Latest Snap-on Software
  • Completed Technician Profile Account, Including Set Profile Access Code
  • Diagnostic Scan Tool Added to Technician Profile
