EDI Engineer

Your Role:
As an EDI Engineer, you will design, implement, and optimize data integrations that power seamless communication between Snap-on and its global partners. You’ll work with technologies/platforms like cXML, Ariba, Coupa, and Sterling Integrator to build secure, scalable, and efficient B2B connections.

What You’ll Do
• Develop and manage mappings for cXML, punchout catalogs, and other web interfaces.
• Handle cXML transactions (POs, invoices, ASN, catalogs, inventory).
• Troubleshoot transmission failures and ensure uptime.
• Configure procurement platforms (Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, Taulia).
• Implement integrations via Web Services, HTTP/HTTPS, JSON, .NET.
• Work with data formats: cXML, ANSI X12, XML, CSV.
• Manage B2B punchout and cXML transformation interfaces.
• Maintain secure protocols (e.g., SSH in UNIX).

What Makes You a Fit

Must Have:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with cXML and B2B integration tools.
• Proven experience with Ariba/Coupa/Jaggaer
• Strong understanding of APIs and external platform communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong troubleshooting skills.

Nice-to-Have:
• Perl, UNIX/Linux, Korn Shell scripting.
• IBM Sterling Integrator and Secure Proxy.
• Familiarity with FTPs, SOAP, EDI, XML standards.
• Strong time management and cross-team collaboration.

C++ Software Engineer 

What You’ll Do
• Develop design documentation, including class diagrams, function descriptions, flow charts, data structures, etc. 
• Develop and debug new software modules, databases, and other system components. 
• Maintain existing software modules, databases, and other system components. 
• Interface with supervisor, other team members, and other departments to coordinate project activities. 
• Perform automated unit testing and integration testing and provide support for software validation. 
• Provide status and progress reports to Engineering Management. 
• Assess feasibility and soundness of design concepts and proposed implementations. 
• Develop complex components or complete products with minimum supervision. 
• Perform additional tasks as designated.

What Makes You a Fit

Must Have:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / computer science. 
• Experience with proven technical and professional skills in software design, development, and testing.  
• Experience in C++ (C++14 and older versions as well) 
• Strong knowledge of OOP principles.
• Experience with agile methodologies. 
• Proficiency in Windows development and tools like Visual Studio 2022, Visual Studio 2008, Git, SVN. 
• Solid commercial experience with bitwise operators.
• Experience with Win32 threading. 
• Understanding of OS Abstracted code development. 
• Design and Develop apps, services for transferring data using different protocols. 
• Experience with .NET development. 
• Knowledge and experience with CAN/J1939/ISO15765/OBDII protocol
