The latest update to Snap-on’s diagnostic software brings coverage of thousands of new vehicles and systems to the fingertips of technicians.
Among the many highlights of software upgrade 17.2 are:
- 2016 model year update for 12 manufacturers: Chrysler, Citroen, Ford, Jaguar, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes, Peugeot, Porsche, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota
- Two new Jaguar models added: XF (260) and F-Pace (X760)
- Keyless entry (Smart Key Unit) added for the 2015 Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fe and Genesis 3.8L
- Replace ABS ECU and transfer coding to replacement ABS module on BMW
- Rear differential control module added for the Land Rover Evoque (L538) (2012-2013) enabling you to complete and all wheel flush drive
- Electric power steering coverage extended for the Vauxhall Vectra C and Corsa D
Version 17.2 adds nearly 50,000 new systems, over 1,700 new vehicles, more than 18,300 new codes and almost 1,800 new functional tests to the capabilities of Snap-on’s handheld diagnostic tools – giving increased power and knowledge to the workshop.
Coverage for Porsche vehicles has been added to the Component Test Meter with all models and engines featured, including ABS menus, ABS control module and tests, and speed sensor and brake pedal component information and tests.
Also added to the CTM are three new technology classes: Electronic Throttle Control, covering H-bridge control (reversing polarity); Basic Electronic Components with a focus on transistors/diodes, theory and operation, and testing; and Engine Management Control Systems, which looks at inputs, outputs and communication.
