Three new How To classes – Internal Combustion Engine, Camshaft-Crankshaft Timing, Automotive Communication Network Classification – have been added to the Component Test Meter content.

The depth of CTM coverage in the latest upgrade will help technicians to increase their knowledge on the topics they face in the workshop with the aid of guidance on how to test, where to connect and what results to look for.

Two new vehicle case studies are also included in the latest release, alongside CTM coverage for 29 manufacturers in total.

How much data does the update contain?

Purchasing the update also back-fills technicians’ tools with all of the information from each previous Snap-on release, bringing the capability to deal with late-model and older vehicles alongside support for facing the new challenges coming into the workshop each day.

Users of the new TRITON-D8 platform can also take advantage of integration with the Snap-on cloud at altusdrive.com. This allows them to automatically upload pre-scan and post-scan vehicle system reports for fast access and sharing with customers and insurance companies.

This functionality is already available on the ZEUS, MODIS Edge and SOLUS Edge scan tools.

Exclusive access to SureTrack is available via the upgrade on the ZEUS, TRITON-D8, SOLUS Edge, MODIS Edge and Ultra units, and the VERUS and VERDICT family of products.

This comprehensive source of expert knowledge helps technicians improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce repair time with diagnostic experience, repair timesavers and verified parts replacement records taken from millions of successful repair orders.

The ZEUS and TRITON-D8 systems have the further advantage of operating with Snap-on’s unique Intelligent Diagnostics software – which saves users time by guiding them directly to the fix and eliminating guesswork.

Alongside SureTrack, it also offers extra assurance with “Smart Data”, which shows only information relevant to the fault code and filters out any unnecessary detail.

Access to Intelligent Diagnostics requires an applicable software agreement.

How can technicians stay up-to-date?

The most straightforward way for technicians to ensure they are constantly covered with software upgrades and real-time information is to take out a Snap-on Software Subscription.

The plan brings a financial saving compared to paying outright for each release individually and includes continued access to all of the latest data provided by SureTrack, Technical Service Bulletins and Snap-on Information System (qualifying platforms only).
