With opportunities for technical training being limited during the coronavirus pandemic, the company has added some new and updated modules to its website.
Snap-on has a dedicated online portal for its free training content, covering vehicle diagnostics, MOT and emissions equipment, wheel alignment and air conditioning systems.
The material provides customers with expert guidance on how to make the most of their products, from the initial set-up and configuration to advanced operation and handy hints on how to use the equipment when faced with specific problems on vehicles.
Videos are presented by Snap-on’s industry experts in a way that gives viewers clear information on what they can do to help make the most of their investment in equipment for their workshop.
Many are also backed up by downloadable guides and scripts, which can be used to help with the self-installation and set-up of products such as the Sun DGA5000 emissions analyser and the KoolKare range of air conditioning recycling machines.
The content for Snap-on’s handheld scan tools includes individual product training modules, which can be followed in order to help technicians really get to grips with the platforms, along with the Diagnostic Quick Tips series of videos.
These are each based around a specific problem and detail the steps required to diagnose and solve it using a Snap-on tool, aided by step-by-step instructions and screenshots from the diagnostic software.
Users of the John Bean wheel alignment systems can also benefit from videos showing them how to perform particular tasks with their machines, including drag link adjustment and checking a vehicle’s ride height.
Along with the training content, the Snap-on website features a gallery of videos about the company’s Sun and Hofmann wheel balancers and tyre changers, demonstrating their capabilities in making technicians’ lives easier.
New videos and guides are added regularly and everything is accessible at no cost, all day every day.
