Need to replace brake pads?
Your diagnostic tool with the latest software has brake pad coverage for 2003 and newer Honda vehicles.
If you need to replace the brake pads on 2003 and newer Honda vehicles, the Snap-on diagnostic software coverage helps you through the procedure.
With your scan tool connected to the vehicle, go to the System menu then select Antilock Brakes, and choose Antilock Brakes at the next screen before heading to Functional Tests.
You will get a brief message stating that some ECU variants may not support all models so click Continue.
After a short initialization, at the Functional Test Menu select Adjustment then Brake Pad Maintenance Mode.
The following message is then displayed on the screen:
This function is used in rear brake pad maintenance.
Please refer to the service manual for the work procedure.
Check that the following conditions are fulfilled:
- Release the parking brake
- Stop the vehicle
- Battery voltage is greater than 10V
Then press Continue to start the test. Once it is complete and you are back at the Brake Pad Maintenance Menu, select Back To Normal Mode.
